eShipGlobal's carrier rate management has developed a most sophisticated
and robust rating engine, capable of understanding the pricing nuances and
structures of multiple geographies (multiple zones), multiple transportation modes
(air, ground), and multiple cost drivers (per kg, per piece count, per mile, per loading meter). To make these plans highly executable,
eShipGlobal's rating engine is used for both planning and execution.
Contract and Rate Management
- Flexible rating engine
- Ability to handle multiple-mode and currency
- Costing capabilities to evaluate freight based on weight, pallet, or mileage bands over
all modes and geographies
- Total landed cost for a particular lane
- Estimated cost for a zone based
- Stores international inbound rates and accessorial charges
- Stores all digitized agreements
Outbound Rating
eShipGlobal stores book rates and client rates in the database and
uses its rating engine to calculate estimated freight cost. The eShipGlobal database contains
various accessorial charges including international tariff rates, HAZARDOUS, and
Dangerous Goods services fees.
eShipGlobal rating engine gives breakdown of charges like freight,
fuel cost, accessorial charges etc. The user will know the exact charges associated with
a shipment, with no surprises after the shipment is delivered and billed by carriers.
Inbound International Rates
eShipGlobal loads international inbound rates from many sourcing countries and allows
transportation managers to rate a shipment for a particular lane.
Automate Rating and Routing
The eShipGlobal rate execution supports a fully automated rating and routing engine that
requires no manual user intervention. If the business rule is to determine the most
cost effective carrier, automated rating and routing can be configured to automatically
select the least expensive carrier. Automatic routing (assignment of carrier) for a delivery can
occur once the final delivery is created, using routing guide rules. The corresponding freight
rate can also be automatically applied at that time.
